Kindred Spirits FAQs
Is it really a vintage camper?
No. For reliability purposes, we felt new construction would better suit our needs. Kindred Spirits Mobile Bar, however, is the perfect culmination of old and new. Our camper bar pairs the nostalgia of a classic 1960’s American Camper with the benefits of new construction and repurposed materials.
Do you provide the alcohol?
No, due to Maryland Liquor Laws, we cannot (and don’t want to) sell alcohol. Our approach is much more customer-friendly. Our services offer full insurance coverage and alcohol permit procurement (if needed). We can either:
- Offer A menu consultation that we will help create a complete drink menu and corresponding shopping list. We have relationships with local liquor stores that will offer a discount for the alcohol, provide free delivery, and will take any unopened bottles back for a full refund.
- Serve the alcohol that has already been purchased by the host, venue or caterer.
Are you equipped to serve tap beer/wine?
Yes! We can serve your favorite local craft or wine of your choice on tap from 3 different kegs.
Do you carry insurance?
Yes, we carry Liquor Liability and General Liability insurance to each event we serve to protect you, the venue and your event.
Where do you travel to?
Any and everywhere! We are based on Kent Island, MD (Chester) and will gladly travel to any event within 30 miles. We will go anywhere (yes, across state lines) for an additional $2.250/mile. Due to our business structure (read: lack of liquor license constraints), we can serve events in all surrounding states.
How much does it cost?
Every event is unique. Kindred Spirits Camper Bar rental is a fixed price of $850 for 4 hours. That does not include service. The final price is based on guest count, distance, bar package (Beer & Wine or Beer, Wine & Liquor), and duration of the event. Contact us to get a quote for your event by clicking here.
Are there any requirements for service?
The camper bar needs relatively flat ground for setup and service, and clear access for our truck to set-up and break down the bar from your location. The dimensions of the camper bar are approximately 16 feet long by 8 feet wide. We can serve on private property.
Do you offer service to parties without alcohol?
Of Course! We are happy to provide the camper bar for any type of event you have envisioned. Protein shakes after a 5K? Yes. Kombucha bar for your Tame Impala listening party? Absolutely! We also offer basic soft drink service for an event that may include sodas, iced tea, juice and coffee.
Can I rent the Camper Bar for a photo shoot?
Yes! We’re happy to bring our camper bar to you for a stylized shoot. We can help you get in touch with our photographers if you need help.
Do you have a Rain Date Policy?
We cannot accommodate rain dates for your event due to our advance bookings. In the event of inclement weather, or a cancellation, we will try our best to accommodate a secondary date. We cannot make any guarantees.
Are your bartenders trained?
Yes! Our bartending staff is made up of certified bartenders with TIPS Alcohol Certification. Collectively, we have successfully served hundreds of weddings, corporate, and private events.
